API for Sodne.com
The API for sodne.com is REST based and implemented over standard HTTP requests. This
allows Sodne to be integrated with any application that can connect
to the web. Queries should be in the following format -
http://www.sodne.com/(controller).(format)?(param)=(query)
Here (param) can be one or many of the following
The above (controller), (format), (param) can be used in any combination to return rich data sets. For example, to find all electronics for sale within a 7 kilometer radius of downtown Kathmandu in JSON format, the URL would look like
http://www.sodne.com/categories/3/posts.json?lat=27.702871&lng=85.318244&radius=7&price=30000
Sodne.com supports the following formats
For example, the post on "Minimalist architecture" in Nepal is available at http://www.sodne.com/posts/24. To download it in xml format, simply append .xml to it, i.e. http://www.sodne.com/posts/24.xml. To view posts in google earth you can download items in kml format - for example click on http://www.sodne.com/posts/16/boundary.kml.
Similarly, to get a RSS feed of the same list of electronics for sale within a 7 kilometer radius of downtown Kathmandu the URL would look like
http://www.sodne.com/categories/3/posts.rss?lat=27.702871&lng=85.318244&radius=7&price=30000
